Cos d'Estournel 2016
In this atypical year, with an unprecedented climatic combination, the vines expressed all the qualities of our beautiful terroir.
More than ever with this historical scenario, the human factor has taken on a fundamental importance to support the vintage. Our successive decisions throughout the year regarding leaf thinning, grass cover and soil work were crucial to maintaining the freshness of the berries.
Graceful without being understated, ample without excessive opulence, Cos d’Estournel 2016 reveals a harmony of exquisite delicacy. Tasting it deserves to take time, to allow the wine to gain amplitude and reveal its incredible balance, with present but melted tannins.
Fine and elegant, with a persistent finish, it is a vintage with a very high aging potential.
Available in 5L Jeroboam at the boutique.

COS D'ESTOURNEL
Second Cru Classé in 1855
Cos d’Estournel, located in Saint-Estèphe in the northern Médoc, has been owned by Michel Reybier since 2000. Concerned with continuing the founder's avant-garde vision and achieving a decisive technical lead, he built the first exclusively gravity-fed winery in 2008...
As mysterious and intriguing as a solitary adventurer returning from a solo navigation, Cos d'Estournel reveals itself slowly. Little by little, it evokes tales of distant lands, bustling markets overflowing with fruits, spices, and exotic goods, village festivals warmed by the joy of revelers and the setting sun's rays, and sumptuous visions of ladies with voluptuous curves. A myriad of scents, colors, and flavors awaken the senses. Le Grand Vin de Cos d'Estournel is both reserved and deliberately sensual, a fascinating and elegant nectar.
